Semester off
Total number of semesters of leave: each student may apply for up to 4 semesters of leave (enrollment regulations). for legal guardians, 2 additional semesters of leave per child may be made possible. In the event of special difficulties (serious illness of the child or parent), this period may be extended. Student parents may apply for more than 2 semesters of leave in succession by presenting their family passport. Regulations regarding the completion of study and examination achievements during a semester of leave can be found in the study and examination regulations valid for the respective course of study.
