Gender-sensitive student recruitment

As a university with a focus on STEM subjects, OVGU is facing declining interest in technical and scientific degree programs. The aim of gender-sensitive student recruitment is to get girls in particular interested in STEM subjects at an early age and to raise the profile of OVGU as an attractive place to study. This includes practical offers, contact with female role models, and formats that strengthen self-confidence and interest—regardless of the parental home. At the same time, employees are to be sensitized to gender-appropriate communication and teaching in order to create an inclusive learning and study environment in the long term.
