The Office for Equality and Family advises and supports employees and students on all relevant issues in the areas of equal opportunities for all genders, equality, discrimination, funding opportunities, and gender research topics, as well as providing family services on family justice and for people with care responsibilities.

The Office for Equality and Family provides advice and support:

• if you need information on gender equality and family issues at the university,
• if you are looking for information on existing regulations and laws,
• if you would like to find out about financial support options,
• if you want to organize and implement gender equality or family measures,
• if you want to integrate gender equality and gender aspects into research proposals,
• if you want to make student recruitment gender- and family-friendly,
• if you are a female scientist pursuing a career in higher education and/or work-life balance is an issue for you,
• if women (including those with care responsibilities) are not adequately represented in university bodies  and committees,
• if you would like to discuss issues relating to gender and gender research as well as family justice,
• if you are planning activities on this topic or need technical, financial, or organizational support.
  
  

The equal opportunities officer advises:

• if personnel measures are imminent,
• if you need support in conflicts and problems related to equality, especially in cases of discrimination based on gender identity or sexual orientation and in cases of sexual harassment and violence.
  
  A personal conversation is the first step toward improving the situation in cases of sexual harassment. Together, we will clarify the situation and take the time to talk about your experiences. Your concerns, your data, and the conversations are subject to confidentiality and will be treated as strictly confidential.Ein persönliches Gespräch ist der erste Schritt, um die Situation im Falle von sexueller Belästigung zu verbessern. Gemeinsam wird die Situation geklärt und sich Zeit genommen über die Erlebnisse zu sprechen. Ihr Anliegen, Ihre Daten und die Gespräche unterliegen der Schweigepflicht und werden streng vertraulich behandelt.
  
  

The family advisor advises:

• if you need childcare for university events.
• Students with family responsibilities, for example, regarding the family pass, maternity leave, and compensation for disadvantages.
• Employees with family responsibilities, for example, regarding work-life balance, mobile working, and legal regulations.
• Regarding a family-friendly campus (parent-child rooms, diaper changing facilities, lunch).
